Дорогие друзья,
Книжка алгоритмов "Roma and Pavlik in the Country of Dolls" "РОМА и ПАВЛИК в СТРАНЕ КУКОЛ"подходит и взрослому и ребенку.
Roma and Pavlik are two brothers. They live with their mum and dad. Mum and dad always go to work. And Roma and Pavlik stay at home.
Roma and Pavlik always play together. They have a lot of dolls. Actually those are their mum’s dolls. They are much older than Roma and Pavlik. And mum says they are much more obedient. But the brothers don’t agree with her, because when mum is not at home the dolls are not obedient sometimes. Their dolls have different names. Pavlik knows all those names. But Roma doesn’t. So he calls the dolls in a different way. He calls them Noisy, Naughty, Lazy, Greedy, Silly, Kind, Smart, Honest, Generous, Brave, Quiet, Stubborn, Sly, and Shy.
That is, he calls Sveta Noisy. He calls Masha Naughty. He calls Ira Lazy. He calls Tanya Greedy. He calls Lida Silly. He calls Katya Kind. He calls Anya Smart. He calls Dima Honest. He calls Vova Generous. He calls Kostya Brave. He calls Gera Quiet. He calls Misha Stubborn. He calls Peter Sly. He calls Makar Shy.
Pavlik doesn’t like to call the dolls Noisy, Naughty, Lazy, Greedy, Silly, Kind, Smart, Honest, Generous, Brave, Quiet, Stubborn, Sly and Shy. Pavlik likes to call them by their real names. But his brother says it’s hard to remember so many different names. And it’s easy to remember the doll’s character.
Roma says that Noisy is always noisy. Pavlik agrees with him because when he plays or talks with Sveta, she always makes a noise. And she shouts a lot. Sveta shouts when she calls other dolls. And she shouts when she looks out of the windows.
She likes to shout at the passers-by. And she also likes to shout at other dolls. Sometimes she even shouts at Pavlik. She doesn’t listen to him. She just shouts.
And Masha doesn’t listen to him either.
Masha likes to do what she wants. She eats only sweets and cakes. And she never eats soup or porridge.
And she doesn’t drink milk while all other dolls do. Masha drinks only lemonade and tea. And she doesn’t sleep in the afternoon. When everybody goes to bed in the afternoon, Masha begins to sing and dance.
Sometimes she even jumps. She often does a very contrary thing. So may be Roma is right to call her Naughty.
Ira never washes her dress. And she never washes floor. And she doesn’t wash plates and cups. She doesn’t cook meals for the family.
And she doesn’t read books herself. It’s Roma who reads books to her. Actually Roma reads books to Pavlik too, because Pavlik can’t read yet. But he is not lazy. But Ira is. Ira is always lazy.
Tanya doesn’t like to share her things with other dolls. She even doesn’t share things with Pavlik, though Pavlik refuses to call her greedy.
Pavlik sees that Tanya always takes more sweets from the vase than other dolls take. And she takes more cakes too. And when she doesn’t want to eat a cake herself, she keeps it in her bed-room. Tanya doesn’t bring cakes to the living-room or to the yard. And she doesn’t bring her toys there either.
Lida often does very stupid things. She can eat spoons and cups. Pavlik doesn’t understand why Lida eats them. Roma explains that it’s because she is silly. Roma says that Pavlik is not silly because he doesn’t eat spoons and cups. Pavlik is glad that he is not silly. But he is not glad that their doll Lida is silly.
But then Katya is kind. Katya helps everybody. Katya likes everybody. Katya cooks different meals and gives them to everybody.
Even Pavlik and Roma like her meals. No wonder she is so kind. Only their mum is kinder than Katya. But their dad isn’t. Their dad is kind, but he isn’t kinder than Katya, the doll. He doesn’t cook different meals for everybody. And Katya does.
So dad is just kind.
Anya is really smart. She can guess where mum hides sweets. She knows about all secrets among the dolls. She knows what clothes to wear for a party. Actually Anya always wears only smart dresses. She wears them even when she is at home.
And she can give a good advice. She understands a lot of things. So when Pavlik needs an advice and mum is not at home he goes to Anya.
Anya can tell right and left while other dolls can’t. And Pavlik can’t either. Only Roma and their doll Anya can… Pavlik guesses that Anya is smarter than him. Sometimes he even thinks that Anya is smarter than Roma. But Pavlik never tells Roma about this guess. Because he is not sure his guess is right. But Roma is sure that their doll is Smart.
Dima never steals things. And when he is a boss, he always gives everybody sweets for their work. He even gives sweets to the Lazy Lida. When Dima goes to the shop he always pays for everything he buys. And when he visits other dolls he never takes anything from their houses. Pavlik doesn’t take anything from other people’s houses either, though he often wants to take something. Sometimes he wants to take a toy which he likes. And sometimes he wants to take a book or a badge. But then he remembers their doll Dima. And he knows how to act correctly, because Dima always acts correctly, that is honestly. And Pavlik can’t be worse than his doll. So he doesn’t take anything from other people’s houses, even when he likes it very much.
But he can take anything from Vova, because Vova doesn’t mind when somebody takes something from him. Vova even likes it, because he likes to give things to people and to dolls. He can give anything when somebody asks him to. And when nobody asks him he also gives everything.
Vova gives his toys to other dolls and he gives his clothes. And he gives cakes even when they are very tasty. He gives his car and his blanket and a pile of pillows
from his bed. Pavlik thinks Vova can give even the bed itself. Only nobody asks him to give the bed, because every doll has her or his own bed. Even Lida – the Lazy has, because Honest that is, Dima gave her a lot of sweets. And Lida bought a nice bed in the shop. Though she never makes her bed, because she is lazy. But Vova isn’t lazy and he makes his bed every day. And Pavlik does. And Roma does. Only Lida doesn’t. But Vova doesn’t mind it. He is generous even to lazy Lida. Because when a person is generous he is always generous.
And when a person is brave he is always brave. For example, Kostya is brave. He is brave in the day time. And he is brave at night. He is not afraid of anything. But Pavlik is. So he often takes Kostya to his room to sleep in the armchair next to his bed. When Kostya is there Pavlik is not afraid at all. Kostya is so brave that he is not afraid of lions and tigers and frogs. He is not afraid of darkness and he is not afraid of school teachers and new baby-sitters. And Pavlik is. He is afraid of lions and tigers and frogs and he is afraid of darkness and he is afraid of school teachers and new baby-sitters. And Roma is afraid of lions and tigers and of darkness. And he is afraid of school teachers and new baby-sitters. Pavlik knows it for sure, though Roma doesn’t confess. Roma also wants to be brave. But he isn’t because he often puts Kostik in the armchair next to his bed. But mum and dad never put Kostik on their armchair. So they are brave. They never look for somebody under their bed. And Roma does. So he isn’t.
And Gera doesn’t look for somebody under his bed either. Everybody else does. But Gera doesn’t, may be because he likes to be quiet. So he never speaks with Noisy, that is, with Sveta. He sits still on his bed and watches everybody else. Sometimes he speaks. But he always speaks quietly. Actually he whispers, because he has got such a quiet voice. And he plays only quiet games. He never plays volley-ball or basket-ball. And he never sings together with other dolls, because his voice is so quiet. But everybody likes him very much. He never quarrels with anybody. He always speaks in his quiet voice and plays only quiet games. So everybody respects him. Pavlik wants everybody to respect him too. So he often tries to be quiet, but he seldom manages it. It’s not easy to be quiet. But it is easy to be stubborn, though nobody respects stubborn people, at least in the world of dolls. So nobody respects Misha. Misha always resists. When all dolls play hide and seek or any other game Misha doesn’t. He wants to play a different game. He wants to play at a different time. He wants to play in a different place. He doesn’t agree with anybody. He doesn’t agree even with Pavlik and Roma. And he doesn’t agree with mum and dad most of the time.
By the way mum and dad don’t know that Masha is naughty Ira is lazy, Tanya is greedy, Lida is silly, Katya is kind, Anya is smart, Dima is honest, Vova is generous, Kostya is brave, Gera is quiet, Misha is stubborn, Peter is sly, and Makar is shy.
Pavlik doesn’t mind Roma calls Misha stubborn, because Misha never obeys Pavlik. Misha doesn’t want to eat the food which Pavlik brings him.
Misha doesn’t want to sleep when it’s bed-time.
Misha doesn’t want to watch a film together with other dolls. Misha refuses to change pillow-cases on his pile of pillows. Misha doesn’t want to eat tasty cakes. But then Peter does. Peter eats not only his own cakes. Peter eats Misha’s cakes too. He even manages to eat Pavlik’s cakes when Pavlik doesn’t look at them. So when Peter is nearby it’s better to look at one’s cakes and not only at the cakes.
It’s better to look at the sweets too and at the good toys and at the pile of pillows on the bed. Because somehow when Peter is nearby his pile of pillows suddenly increases. And it’s better to count one’s sweets before when Peter plans to visit you. When Peter visits Lida, Lida has nothing to eat later.
But there are new spoons and cups at Peter’s. And when he visits Vova, Vova must find a new job to make more money and buy a new pile of pillows.
Only Ira doesn’t mind Peter’s visits. Because Peter likes clean things and Ira doesn’t. So Peter seldom visits lazy people. He doesn’t like to visit lazy dolls and he doesn’t like to visit greedy dolls. And he doesn’t like to visit noisy dolls. And he doesn’t like to visit Pavlik, because Pavlik always watches him when he visits.
But he likes to visit generous dolls and quiet dolls and kind dolls. And Peter likes to visit Roma. But Roma doesn’t let Peter visit him. Roma lets Honest and Generous and Kind and Brave visit him. But he doesn’t let Stubborn and Naughty and Noisy and Lazy and Sly visit him. And Pavlik does. He does let Stubborn and Naughty and Noisy and Lazy and Sly visit him. Because Pavlik lets everybody visit him. And Roma doesn’t.
Roma likes to visit everybody himself.
He likes to visit the world of dolls.
It’s a very interesting world, though the characters there are so different: Sveta the noisy, Masha the naughty, Ira the lazy, Tanya the greedy, Lida the silly, Katya the kind, Anya the smart, Dima the honest, Vova the generous, Kostya the brave, Gera the quiet, Misha the stubborn, Peter the sly and Makar the shy.
Oh, yes dolls can be shy. At least Makar is. He is shy. He never asks anything. He never fights with anybody. He never sings songs loudly. He seldom looks at girls, that is, dolls who are girls. He refuses to be a boss. He doesn’t count everybody’s sweets. He often hides behind his pile of pillows. He never wears smart clothes. He wears only simple clothes. He doesn’t ask for additional cakes, even when they are very tasty. He doesn’t tell stories. He hides when guests come to him. He doesn’t ask for payment for his work. So he is very different from other persons in the world of dolls. Roma calls him Shy. And Pavlik doesn’t. He likes to call Makar by the first name. And he likes to call everybody else in the world of dolls by their first names. He thinks they like it more. But Roma doesn’t mind if they like it more or if they don’t. So he keeps calling them Noisy, Naughty, Lazy, Greedy, Silly, Kind, Smart, Honest, Generous, Brave, Quiet, Stubborn, Sly and Shy.
Though mum and even dad know the dolls by their first names: Sveta, Masha, Ira, Tanya, Lida, Katya, Anya, Dima, Vova, Kostya, Gera, Misha, Peter and Makar. The parents think all the dolls are good and obedient. They don’t know what is happening in the world of dolls when they, that is, mum and dad, are not at home. And they don’t know what is happening there when Pavlik and Roma are in the world of dolls.
